Scopetone, Brunello di Montalcino, 2021 fete offer textural mid-palate that makes itFirst planted in 1978 by Federigo Abbarchi and Angela Corioni, with first bottling in 1982 under guidance of legendary winemaker Giulio Gambelli. The site in the Scarnacuoia cru at 450 meters was reportedly where Ferruccio Biondi Santi first planted Sangiovese. Current owners Loredana Tanganelli and Antonio Brandi met in 2003 and took over Scopetone in 2009. They now farm 4. 5 hectares total, including 40+ year old vines in the original plots.
