He was born in Italy, but fell in love with fine Scotch Whisky at a very young age. He educated his palate and in 1968 started buying individual casks of the good stuff and crafting his own blend. At the time he was the only non UK person doing it. His superior taste and skill helped him build a solid reputation and grow his super premium
