Gasparri, Galileo - Signed Photograph in Carmen programs music unsigned pianists concerning the obstacles for theItalian tenor (1875 ?), whose full name was Galileo Ainor Gasparri, sang mostly in Italy but also made successful guest appearances in Sydney and Kiev. His wife was the legendary French soprano Emma Calv. Signed photograph, shown as Don Jose in Bizet's Carmen, dated in 1923. Stamped on verso by photographer Aime Dupont. Size is 5 x 7 inches, small tear on bottom right, otherwise in very good condition.
