Pepiere is arguably Muscadet's finest producer, and 'Briords' is its oldest and most storied parcel: a small single vineyard of old vines, many 50 to 70 years and up, digging into fissured granite bedrock above the river Maine. That granite is the whole story here, giving a Melon de Bourgogne with far more power, cut, and mineral drive than typical Muscadet, aged sur lie to build texture and depth. Farmed
